The Economic Journey

Bellfast Mill & FactoryThe economic development of Dominica is critical to its nation building. The journey out of peasant labour for the masses into industrialization and professionalization of the average citizen was not always an easy road. While Britain was willing, even eager, to offer political independence to Dominica, the Imperial nation was not always as forthcoming with producing conditions for economic activity and development, frequently leaving Dominica on the backburner.
